Direct injection diesel engine
FX27Z is equipped with a reliable Yanmar diesel engine. The highly reliable Yanmar engine demonstrates a high power output and is outstandingly durable, with good combustion and stable performance both at low and high speeds. Furthermore, vibrations and noise are reduced by anti-vibration support.

FX27Z can allow running at a very low speed, ideal for trolling.
Multi drive
A multi-drive can be installed with a trolling device that can operate at very low speeds, which is ideal for drift fishing. It is durable, it is quiet and it is smooth in operation. In addition, even with the multi-drive is installed, there is still a dedicated PTO space for a small-size generator.
Advantages of diesel engine
- You can rest assured that the engine will start at once even iin a cold winter weather. Also, the engine maintains its pick performance for much longer even when used continuously at varying low and high-speed ranges.
- While maintaining low fuel consumption, a diesel engine uses the cheaper diesel oil, significantly reducing fuel costs to nearly 1/3 of that in case of gasoline. Also, in most of the cases, marine-use diesel oil can be obtained tax-free which further adds to its economic advantage. *Application is required for tax-free gasoline.
- A diesel engine can maximize the compression ratio and thermal efficiency, and thus minimizing the fuel consumption, which is maintained even during idling.
- Compared to a gasoline engine, a diesel engine demonstrates a smooth and stable performance and output even during a long-distance sailing. It also ensures a comfortable feeling of control and maneuvering in the driver.
- A diesel engine does not require an electric ignition system that is sensitive to water and salt. Therefore, a diesel engines are highly reliable with only a few failures and excellent startability.
- A power source for lighting equipment can be provided by connecting a generator to the engine.

Drivetrain
It is Yanmar's original outdrive that reduces propulsion resistance and demonstrates smooth turning and maneuverability. The hydraulic tilt makes it easy to moor and store and inspect propellers.
A V-shaped hull with a known reputation for an excellent ride quality and course retention.
Hull
The flat sliding surface of the hull reduces resistance of water both at high speeds and at the start. The V-shaped hull, combined with the fin keel, results in an excellent course retention, cushions the impact and creates a strong slicing force against cross currents.

The double chine contributes to an excellent lateral stability and loadability when moored. it also improve course stability and ensures an exhilarating speed by reducing the water contact area. It is a guarantee of a good ride and a comfortable fishing and trolling at a stationary state.

FX27Z has a low-line design that suppresses the bridge height to better manipulate the air resistance at high speeds. Coupled with a large fin keel, this design is also highly efficient at reducing wind cross flows.
