YANMAR Technical Review
Editor's Postscript
With the arrival of spring, I am pleased to be publishing our first issue of the new business year. Here at the editorial team, we intend to bring a fresh feel to the editing of YANMAR Technical Review.
In addition to technical articles and product profiles, this edition also covers the activities at our new center for research and development.
Yanmar established its Bio Innovation Center Kurashiki Laboratory in 2016 as a center for research and development to collect and accumulate agricultural knowledge and information. The center combines “soft” expertise in cropping with “hard” technologies cultivated through the development of agricultural machinery and other products to engage in new research and development and the implementation of solutions.
I had the opportunity to try some of the strawberries grown at the center and they tasted delicious, being large and sweet. As I was unfamiliar with the details of their work at the time, reading the article was deeply fascinating.
Again, I feel a sense of responsibility for doing all I can to foster an interest in the technology of Yanmar. I sincerely hope that all of those with whom we interact in the new encounters brought by spring will be able to continue enjoying this journal into the future. I look forward to your reading enjoyment continuing into this new business year.
