Background and Purpose of the Company Split: Announced on October 18, 2024

Formerly a business unit of Yanmar Co., Ltd. until April 2020, Yanmar Power Technology Co., Ltd., has focused on the development, manufacturing, and sales of engines, particularly industrial power products and large power products. This spin-off aims to enable more agile operations and faster decision-making by aligning each company’s activities with its specific business goals and market needs.

Method of the Company Split

A new company, 100% owned by Yanmar Holdings, will be established in preparation for the split of the large power products business of Yanmar Power Technology. The industrial power products business will continue under Yanmar Power Technology, while the large power products business will be inherited by the new company through an absorption-type split. The reorganization will take place on October 1, 2025.
