EMEA IT Director (m/f/d)

Contract : permanent position

As a senior technology leader, reporting to the EMEA Regional President and sitting on the regional leadership team; this role will also ensure the successful implementation of the new services and capabilities, maximizing the benefits the region can enjoy with the new services. This will require building strong partnerships with both Global IT delivery teams and regional business teams to ensure they are correctly prioritized, resourced, understood and communicated.

Missions

  • Understand deeply the regional business strategy and identify opportunities where technology can accelerate/enhance the outcomes. Representing technology capabilities to the region leadership whilst also representing the regional needs to the Global technology leadership level.
  • Lead the development of these technology opportunities within the region - success factors, dependencies, key resources, etc. feeding into the regional IT Strategic Plan
  • Bring these technology opportunities to the Global IT Delivery team and ensure they are reflected in roadmaps, ensuring the priorities are aligned with the regional strategy expectations.
  • Understand the top-down technology capabilities planned to be implemented within the region (e.g. ERP, PLM, etc.), work with the regional leaders to align resourcing, prioritization, communication, etc to bring the maximum benefits from these large scale programs
  • Ensure all solutions delivered are high quality and matching the identified success factors. Bringing feedback to the Global IT delivery team or to the regional leaders wherever required to drive lessons learnt.
  • Manage the portfolio of services delivered via regional specific applications and infrastructure - lifecycle management, feature improvements, etc.
  • Perform as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
  • Manage the regional IT Budget - maintaining optimal level of costs v's value and driving improvements where necessary
  • Deliver end-user support to those all locations within the region.
  • Project Manage the regional aspects for any Global services rollout to the region, ensuring the regional aspects are well coordinated and communicated
  • Development of Global IT Strategic Plan, offering insights and thought leadership to the central team

Profile

Background :

  • BA/MS degree in computer or information sciences or similar field
  • 10+ years experience in general management in industrial or capital goods environment where strategic thinking, communication and negotiation were a fundamental part of the role
  • 5+ years of IT management experience

Skills :

  • Ability to develop strategic initiatives and oversee the development of long-term plans and proposals to support business objectives
  • Strong business acumen; understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and revenue goals
  • Ability to formulate and allocate budgets (investment and running cost)

  • Availability for regular international travel
