Joins event to fight breast cancer

October 2022, Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA (Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe S.A.S. And YANMAR COMPACT Germany GmbH, hereinafter YCE EMEA) participated in the business challenge of the "Connected Race", an event of the Pink October Campaign held by the firefighters union in Haute-Marne, France. The “connected race” is not a sports competition, but an activity to promote breast cancer prevention and screening. It aims to raise awareness about breast cancer screening by raising funds to support early detection and treatment of breast cancer and by mobilizing as many runners as possible.

Participants purchase a virtual bib, print the bib and wear it, and perform exercises such as running, walking, and cycling. You can participate in the event from anywhere using the dedicated app. Virtual bib sales will be donated to associations that support women who have undergone breast cancer surgery. YCE EMEA has donated €1,000 for employees and business partners to purchase this virtual bib. 12 employees from YCE EMEA participated in the event, running 914km and cycling 3,211km for a total of 4,125km.

Donation to organizations working for cancer eradication

Every year around Christmas time, YCE EMEA holds a Christmas raffle. 3,868 tickets were purchased by employees in 2022, a record sales figure. The sales were donated to local branches of the League Against Cancer, working to eradicate cancer.
