Adairsville, Georgia (July 28, 2022) - Yanmar America will recognize the hard work and dedication of its interns this National Intern Day. Yanmar launched its inaugural Internship Program in May 2022 and concludes the internship period with capstone presentations this week.

The Yanmar America Internship Program is designed for students to gain work experience in a professional setting with the goal of inspiring and educating future leaders while paving the way for potential new talent.
“Yanmar’s Internship Programs allows these students to gain hands-on experience in a real work environment where they confront genuine business challenges,” said Selena Galmon, Yanmar America’s Director of Human Resources. “At the same time, Yanmar benefits from the fresh ideas and perspectives that our interns bring to their roles.”

The Internship Program provides smart and enthusiastic employees to help accomplish company goals while providing the interns with the opportunity to learn new skills and develop workplace relationships that will stand them in good stead in their working life. Having gained some insight into the business and culture of the company, some interns may also have the opportunity to work for Yanmar in the future.
Yanmar’s own workforce also benefits from the opportunity to develop leadership abilities as they guide and mentor the interns on their teams.
“My time as an intern at Yanmar has allowed me to see what kind of opportunities are available in the real world,” said Alex Eagens, a mechanical engineering student at Kennesaw State University. “It has been an unforgettable experience.”
