YANMAR is proud to announce that it has signed an Official Marketing Partner contract with Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls for the 2015 season. This alliance is a continuation of the brand’s support of talented soccer players, while also increasing YANMAR’s brand recognition in markets across the globe.

Having established its own soccer club in 1957 and acting as an Official Global Partner of Manchester United, the company knows the passion, dreams and spirit of challenge that soccer inspires. As a main partner company of J. League’s Cerezo Osaka club, YANMAR has supported the team from the very start, and has seen some of its major players take on the world stage, including Shinji Kagawa, a current player at Borussia Dortmund.

In the North American sports market, YANMAR is an Official Technical Partner of ORACLE TEAM USA, winners of the 33^rd and 34^th AMERICA’S CUP. It was during the 2013 race that YANMAR became familiar with Red Bull’s philosophy, eventually leading to this new partnership with New York Red Bulls.

As active supporters of global sports and athletes, Red Bull and YANMAR share similar core values, including the determination to face challenges and deliver high levels of performance, while also proactively sustaining the development of sports around the globe. This parallel is the foundation of the unprecedented alliance between YANMAR and the New York Red Bulls.   

A team first for sponsors other than Red Bull, YANMAR will have its corporate logo on the training jerseys of the players, and the company’s logo will be displayed on the stadium’s video boards, ADA wall signboards and field-level LED signage. Designation rights will include Official Agricultural Machinery Partner, Official Marine Partner and Official Diesel Engine Partner.

YANMAR is confident that this partnership will further promote the company’s presence and activities in North America, and is looking forward to sharing great achievements together with Red Bull.

The New York Red Bulls are one of 20 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). They are one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its founding in 1996. They currently play their home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. RBA, a state-of-the-art 25,000-seat stadium, is widely regarded as the top soccer-specific stadium in North America. The club is owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named.
