YANMAR America is excited to announce the success of our employee appreciation tailgate held on Friday, October 17 in the back lot of our facility. The tailgate was an excellent team building and product awareness event with more than 170 company employees in attendance.

Commenting on the event, Dustin Smith said, “This was a good team building event. I’m glad I had the chance to interact with fellow employees that I don’t see on a regular basis.”

During the tailgate, company employees were able to test our YANMAR tractors and construction equipment at different action stations. These included two tractor stations, which involved using front and back-end attachments, as well as two construction equipment stations; a ball scoop with our mini-excavator and a test drive course featuring our track loader. In addition to testing equipment, employees enjoyed a quarterback toss, soccer kick and score, corn hole, a closet to the pin golf competition and BINGO. Throughout the day, music was provided by a local DJ, City Entertainment.

“I had the best time. What I enjoyed the most? I was great at operating the equipment! This was the best event that we’ve had at YANMAR,” said Ticia Borromeo.

After a morning filled with activities, employees were served a delicious barbeque lunch from Zeigler’s, which included chicken quarters, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw and rolls. The company also hosted a raffle for YANMAR gear, grills and Engel coolers. Top raffle winners were Karl Cason who won the large cooler, Tomoo Harada who won the medium cooler and Nina Banks who won the large grill.

Kelly Boddie added, “I really enjoyed it. I loved operating the equipment. The food was awesome and the music was good.”

All in all, the event was a great way for company employees to gather together to enjoy each other’s company and have a little fun on a Friday!
