YANMAR America’s Commercial Marine Division is pleased to announce the addition of Skandiaverken S.L. (SKV) to its Distribution Network. The company will operate under the name VN Propulsion S.R.L. in the markets of Argentina and Uruguay.

“As YANMAR continues to expand our local distribution network, we are excited to have VN Propulsion represent our brand in the Argentinian market. Their regional market expertise will allow them to engineer the best solution for their customers,” commented Terry Wallace, Division Manager for YANMAR America Commercial Marine.

SKV’s former company name was Construcciones Echevarria SA, under which they were a marine propulsion and auxiliary diesel engine builder for more than 30 years. In total, the company has been in operation for more than 150 years, and has more than 25 years of experience with YANMAR Europe in Spain and Portugal. This long history with YANMAR engines has proven the quality and reliability of the brand’s medium and high-speed offerings, and the company hopes to expand their success in Argentina where there is a large variety of fishing fleets.
