Professional football team founded by Bangkok Glass Industry in 1979, officially became a club team under the name of Bangkok Glass FC in 2006.
In 2019, the name of the team was changed to BG Pathum United (BGPU).
In the 2020 to 2021 season, the first year of the Thai League's transition to the fall to spring period, they won the league title with overwhelming performance and has been qualified for the Asian Champions League.
The club advanced to the best 8 for the first time in the ACL held in 2022, setting a new club record. Finally, 2022 marks the 10th year of the Club Club partnership with Cerezo Osaka, for which Yanmar is a top partner. There are players who belonged to Cerezo Osaka, such as Chau Wat and Tawan.

Yanmar, Cerezo Osaka, and Yanmar Group partner club, BG Pathum United (BGPU) jointly established the YAMAOKA HANASAKA ACADEMY (YHA) in 2016.
YHA has been steadily contributing to the development of young players in Thailand. Currently it has turned out Thailand representative players in young age.
