Creating Yanmar’s Presence in Cambodia

September 2018 (Cambodia): Cambuild’18 is recognized by the industry as Cambodia’s largest scale international exhibition for the building, construction and mechanical & electrical (M&E). It was a 3-day event (12-14 September, 2018), at the Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. There were over 350 exhibitors from 18 countries including China, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
Riding on this trade show, Yanmar Asia (YASC) setup a booth in Singapore pavilions. It was a good opportunity to understand and bridge a connection with Yanmar power products. YASC’s booth had attracted approximately 150 visitors. Among the visitors were developers, architects, contractors, trading and construction companies’ representatives.
Cambodia growing economy along with increasing foreign investors may provide a fantastic opportunity to expand YASC’s market. Investors are looking into the real estate development in particular huge projects such as office towers, restaurants, banking services, medical centres, hotels and convention centre. This is favourable for YASC as it leads to an increase demand of generators.

Hopefully, this trade show will spur Cambodian companies to use Yanmar products for their business.
