Importance of Risk Management and Export Control Compliance

26 July 2018 – It is important that Yanmar Asia (YASC) members understand the importance of Risk Management and Export Control Compliance. Trainers from Yanmar Japan CSR Division, Mr Yukihiko Kobayashi, Divisional Manager of Trade Control Division and Mr Satoshi Imamoto, Risk Management Group made their special trip down to Singapore, to conduct the workshops.
The workshop was kick-off with an opening note from Mr Jackson Tan, Managing Director of YASC.
Message highlight - “The worst cyber-attack happened to the largest healthcare group in Singapore. Risk may occur anywhere, anytime. We need to understand, identify and mitigate those risks. It might struck us at any moment without any warning and our business might be adversely affected……”
Anyone of us can be the next victim, it can be at work or personal. Mr Imamoto, trainer for risk management, stressed the importance to understand and prepare for the risk before things happen. YASC members are trained on how to identify, assess, prioritize and taking countermeasure on risk during the workshop. Followed by the importance of Export Control Compliance workshop led by Mr Kobayashi.
