This corporate character first appeared in Yanmar’s weather forecast in 1959, created to provide valuable information for customers in agriculture and fisheries. Yanmar Design participated in the character's design, and in January 2024, a public vote led to the creation of the ninth-generation character.
With a total of 76,568 votes cast, the new Yanboh & Marboh was selected from three candidate designs.
Countless ideas and sketches were exchanged between Yanmar Design and external creators.
This life-size model was produced by Pop Kogei in Osaka. Crafted entirely by hand without using 3D models, it showcases traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Under the supervision of designers, every detail has been meticulously refined.
