Yanboh and Marboh celebrate their 40th anniversary! Construction of Yanmar's Research & Development Center is complete. Many of Yanmar's cutting-edge technologies are still made there today.
Yanboh and Marboh celebrate their 50th anniversary. Now their pants are gray and Marboh's top is blue! A TV commercial is made, celebrating 50 years of fond memories with Yanboh and Marboh.
Yanboh and Marboh celebrate their 60th anniversary. Yanboh and Marboh became more stylish than ever before! They will continue to grow with Yanmar for the next 100 years to come!
Yanmar lets the public decide on the 9 generation design through a global online poll. The new design presents Yanboh and Marboh as characters set to take on new challenges and realize future possibilities together.

Yanboh and Marboh Get a New Look for 2024
Yanboh and Marboh evolved into characters that are “Moving Hearts, Moving Towards the Future” in 2024.
The new design is a collaborative effort between Yanmar's own designers and an external creative team. In order to involve the world in the creation of Yanboh and Marboh, a global online poll was conducted to determine the best design. The poll received an overwhelming response with 76,568 votes. The design receiving the highest number of votes from among the three options was selected for the 9th generation of Yanboh and Marboh.
