Yanmar Acquires Naming Rights to the Nagai Stadium

Yanmar has announced the conclusion of a 5-year agreement with the Osaka municipal government for the naming rights to Nagai Stadium.

This is part of Yanmar’s sports communication initiatives that cover a variety of fields, including, in recent years, sponsorship of Manchester United and Oracle Team USA, towards further enhancing our brand value and appeal to a wider international audience.

The Nagai Stadium is the home arena of Cerezo Osaka which was established back in 1994 from what was then Yanmar’s soccer club. In its capacity as Partner Company of the team, Yanmar has continued to support Cerezo through the years and has seen some of its best players take to the world stage at some of the world’s most reputable clubs.

As of March 1, 2014, the name of the Stadium will change to YANMAR STADIUM NAGAI, replacing the current name of the main arena, and YANMAR FIELD NAGAI, for the neighboring athletics track field. The new name will appear on the facility’s exterior façade and in numerous other locations throughout the arenas. The new naming will be inaugurated with an upcoming match between Cerezo and Gamba Osaka, scheduled for April 12.

The two venues intend to host not only J League matches, but also matches featuring Japan’s national soccer team, while also serving a variety of other sports. A long-time supporter of Cerezo, Yanmar will continue to contribute actively to the promotion of sports and support revitalization of local communities, enriching peoples’ lives for all our tomorrows.
