YANMAR Puts the 2013 America’s Cup winning ORACLE TEAM USA´s Rudder on Display in Marina Muiderzand

YANMAR MARINE INTERNATIONAL, market leader in engines and propulsion systems for pleasure boats and commercial shipping, today announced that the company has put the rudder, which was part of the 2013 America’s Cup winning ORACLE TEAM USA’s catamaran, on display at Marina Muiderzand as of 28 May. YANMAR is ORACLE TEAM USA’s Official Technical Partner and the company was presented with the winning catamaran’s rudder as a token of the team’s appreciation for the professional support received during the preparatory phase up to and during the competition itself.
The rudder was first put on display during the weekend that Marina Muiderzand organised the 6th edition of the Almere Regatta, the Combi Muiderzand jeugdzeilwedstrijden (junior sailing competition), the student sailing extravaganza organised by Zustrum and the Open Kitetender championships; all events which celebrate water sports.
Link with water sports
The rudder is currently on display at Marina Muiderzand. This location reflects the marina’s sporting nature and the fantastic and long-standing relationship with Shipshape Jachtservice Muiderzand, the marina’s local YANMAR dealer.

YANMAR MARINE INTERNATIONAL, marktleider in motoren en aandrijvingen voor plezier- en bedrijfsvaart, maakt vandaag bekend dat de onderneming het roerblad van de catamaran van 2013 America’s Cup-winnaar ORACLE TEAM USA sinds 28 mei tentoonstelt in Marina Muiderzand. YANMAR is Official Technical Partner van het ORACLE TEAM USA en ontving het roerblad van de winnende catamaran als blijk van waardering voor haar professionele support gedurende de voorbereidingsfase en tijdens de wedstrijd zelf.
Het roerblad was voor het eerst te bewonderen in een weekend dat Marina Muiderzand met de 6de editie van de Almere Regatta, de Combi Muiderzand jeugdzeilwedstrijden, het studentenzeilfestijn Zustrum en de Open Kitetender kampioenschappen volledig in het teken van watersport stond.
Band met watersport
Het roerblad bevindt zich op het haventerrein van Marina Muiderzand. De keuze voor deze locatie sluit aan bij het sportieve karakter van de haven en de goede, langdurige relatie met Shipshape Jachtservice Muiderzand, de YANMAR-dealer die hier is gevestigd.
