About Yanmar Training Centre – India

Yanmar Engine Manufacturing India (YEMI), located in North of Chennai City- started operations in the year 2021. The state of the art manufacturing facility produces vertical water cooled diesel engines and has an installed production capacity of 80,000 units per annum. The plant manufactures 3 and 4 cylinder variants and caters to Agriculture, Industrial and Genset applications. The factory has a total land space of 129300m2 in which the factory building and premises is spread over 24,000m2.

India Off Highway application engines are required to meet CEV Stage 5 emission from 2025 and with the engine platform switching over to Electronic engines with Common rail fuel system, Yanmar established a Training centre within the factory premises to meet the growing demands of skill enhancement among the OEM and their dealerships.

The facility :

The training centre started operations from June 2023. During the first year, OEMs, Dealer / Distributor of Yanmar and also factory employees have been given training on the current products of YEMI.

Yanmar training centre has two class rooms, one training room for practical sessions, Interactive display and engine models to instill hands-on skill, product knowledge Operation, Maintenance and Trouble shooting of all products manufactured by YEMI.

Types of Courses :

Yanmar Training Centre (YTC) offers regular courses for the Product(s) manufactured in YEMI plant, used by India OEMs and also special short duration courses such as Basics of Diesel Engine, Application engineering, Exhaust emission etc..

Yanmar Training Centre curriculum offers specific courses for understanding of Electronic engine architecture, function, simulation etc. Options to enhance knowledge through online - possible with Virtual interactive sessions.
