Yanmar Europe donated an air-cooled industrial engine to HAN University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. The students of Eco Marathon Team design and construct an eco-vehicle powered only by Yanmar’s single-cylinder air-cooled engine without using any other power source to test the mileage that the vehicle can drive using just one litter of diesel fuel. The vehicle structure is eco-friendly and smart to drive long distance. The current world record is 3000+ km / 1L. The Yanmar engine was chosen for its very low fuel consumption. Yanmar supports the team to learn and break their own records.
