At Yanmar, we believe in investing in the next generation. That’s why we proudly participated in the Almere Education Fair, an annual event where high school students explore career and study opportunities. This year’s edition took place at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in Almere on February 13, bringing together students, parents, industry professionals and representatives from a variety of schools.

Representing Yanmar, Rinze van Kammen hosted an inspiration session within the Technology & Design domain titled “My Journey with Products and What Came My Way.” Drawing from his own education and career path, Rinze shared key lessons with students:

• Believe in your abilities and embrace new challenges;
• Work is more than just a job: developing passion for your work makes all the difference.

Beyond career advice, Rinze introduced students to Yanmar and its role as a global innovator. He also provided insights into the complex world of product compliance – a critical field ensuring that manufacturers meet regulatory requirements. From European legislation to industry collaboration, he highlighted the importance of engineers who understand compliance, can translate regulations into practice, and even help shape future policies.
