Careers still flourish at YANMAR… with omotenashi

May 31, 2021
Yanmar Europe B.V.

The past year has had an unprecedented global impact, both personally and professionally. Many companies have experienced hard times and we too have had our challenges. Nevertheless, we managed to adapt and continue our work and even managed to welcome nine new colleagues past half year. There are still 9 vacancies open on our website, check them out here: https://www.yanmar.com/eu/about/jobs/

We owe this in large part to the dedicated spirit of our employees and our corporate culture. At YANMAR Europe, we aim to unite common Western values of openness and frankness with Japanese principles and hospitality which anticipates the needs of those we work with even before they are aware of them. This is known as ‘omotenashi’.

The word ‘omote’ is the face you want to show in public. ‘Nashi’ means ‘nothing’. Together, it means exceptional service from the heart without expecting anything in return. We naturally adopt omotenashi in a person-first approach in our interactions.

This 'unconditional human approach', is natural to us and makes a part of our culture. Openness and frankness accompanied with hospitality work in good and bad times.
