Yanmar Industrial keeps going strong
Although 2021 was challenging in many respects, I look back on a successful year including record sales figures,” says Carlo Giudici, Director Industrial EMEA in an interview he gave for Diesel Progress International magazine. “This is partly due to the fact that many OEMs accelerated their production schedules to meet growing demand, despite global issues they faced with components and supplies.
Cost-efficient ownership with FOC 5-Year Warranty
“With the launch of the new, free-of-charge 5-Year Warranty on TN Series engines sold in Europe and operating on European territory, we set a new benchmark, being the first to offer 5-Year Warranty for off-road vehicles. It emphasizes the strong quality of our engines and is another important step to offer our customers problem-free and cost-efficient ownership.”
More than 1,000,000 CR-DPF engines in smooth operation
Since the launch of Yanmar TNV-CR engine family, adopted at first to comply with US EPA T4 and later for EU StageIIIB and StageV, the installed base of these engine models has grown steadily with more than 1,000,000 engines installed and running smoothly in the field. “The latest Stage 5 models are still based on the same, proven technology. They find their way to many new customers and OEMs, especially in construction, material handling and power generation.”
Local Dressing: Japanese manufacturing adapted to European specifications
Another highlight worth to be mentioned is that Local Dressing for electronic common rail engines is gaining momentum in Europe. “Local Dressing means that we source ‘lightly-dressed’ engines from our factories in Japan and adapt them in our Italian plant to the various requirements and specifications typical of applications in Europe. This greatly enhances flexibility and speed in meeting our customers’ demands.”
