AEB joins the Yanmar network!
February 14, 2025
Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA
AEB, a recognised player in the French construction sector for several decades, has just joined Yanmar CE EMEA’s official dealer network. This is an opportunity for two companies with shared values to build on each other's success.

New year, new resolutions! As of 1 January 2025, AEB has officially been welcomed into Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA (Yanmar)'s dealer network. The partnership marks a new stage in the prosperous history of the company, which specialises in the hire and sale of construction and civil engineering equipment, and is recognised as a market leader in the Centre-Val de Loire region and surrounding areas. The company has been growing steadily in its area of activity for several decades; all the while continuing to build on the values it holds dear – values that also resonate with Yanmar.
A partnership that goes without saying
AEB and Yanmar, for example, claim a family dimension in their day-to-day operations. An approach that in no way hinders their progress in their respective markets, quite the contrary.
Founded in 1961 by Jean Branger, AEB has since greatly expanded its scope of activity. While the group's head office is still located in Monthou-sur-Cher, in the Loir-et-Cher region, the company now has no fewer than 18 branches employing 450 people. In keeping with the family spirit, it is the founder's 4 children who are now responsible for continuing and even improving on their father's work.
When the question arose of the best partner for this mission, Yanmar was the natural choice for AEB's directors. ‘It was an obvious choice,’ confirms François Poirrier, Sales Director at the Loir-et-Chérien dealership. "When we looked into the matter, we obviously wanted a recognised name that would enable us to distribute premium products. Yanmar ticked all these boxes, as a leader in the mini and midi excavator market, recognised both by customers and by its peers". He continues: "One of our core values is to be close to our customers, with a strong local presence. Here again, Yanmar, which produces some of its models in France, at its Saint-Dizier site, seemed the ideal option to reconcile our imperatives".
Machines perfectly suited to AEB's geographical area
Now an official Yanmar CE dealer for the departments of Indre et Loire, Loir et Cher, Vienne, Cher, Indre and Eure et Loire, AEB operates on a playing field that is ideally suited to showcasing the qualities of Yanmar’s compact equipment range.
"Whether we're selling or hiring equipment, we market the entire Yanmar range for the construction segment. But it's true that, in our sector, the mini excavator accounts for more than 75% of our business volume. Machines like the ViO17, ViO23 and ViO27 are perfectly suited to our customers' expectations, particularly in terms of their performance/capacity ratio‘, explains Mr Poirrier, who believes that market demand is primarily for machines ’in the 1.7 to 2.7 tonne range, as well as 5 tonne and 8 tonne models".
Without setting targets in terms of sales or rental volumes, AEB's Sales Director is delighted with the arrival of the SV100-7 midi excavator in its fleet: "This is a very recent machine, but it's already making a lot of noise in the industry at the moment. We're proud to be able to offer it to our customers.” This midi excavator is one of the young models designed by Yanmar to excel in tight spaces, without compromising on performance or practicality. With an operating weight of 9,560 kg, the SV100 , a tight front (2110 mm) and rear (1315 mm) turning radii, combined with minimal rear overhang (155 mm), the unit retains a remarkably compact footprint.
A ‘Yanmar Tour’ for the warmer weather
While the short, cold winter days do not necessarily lend themselves to the organisation of promotional events, AEB is already planning Yanmar machine exhibition days for the coming spring: ‘why not a sort of “Yanmar Tour”, which would take place in each of the departments in which we operate’, smiles François Poirrier. "It would be an opportunity to present our range and let our customers try out Yanmar machines.”
It would also be an opportunity to validate the logic of the partnership between Yanmar and AEB on the ground, through key words such as local service, local roots and family spirit.
