18-year-old Emil Løgtved, from Entreprenør Flemming Larsen-Ledet ApS, has found his perfect tool in his new 12-ton Yanmar B110W mobile excavator. The machine, which was purchased from dealer W.J. Maskinservice A/S in Nørresundby, offers impressive power, flexibility and operator comfort.

The young machine operator

When you arrive at the construction site in Biersted, where district heating pipes are currently being buried, one thing immediately catches your eye: the shiny new mobile excavator from Yanmar, effortlessly maneuvered with precision by a young operator. Behind the wheel is Emil, an 18-year-old
machine enthusiast who, despite his young age, already has two years of experience at Entreprenør Flemming Larsen-Ledet.

From agriculture to construction machinery

Emil has engine oil in his blood. He grew up on the family farm, where machines have always been a regular part of everyday life. His fascination with machinery quickly became part of his life, and after primary school it was almost a natural choice that his first job would be with agricultural machinery.
However, it was a recommendation from a friend that sent him in the direction of construction machinery. This would turn out to be a decision that led him to both the new Yanmar machine and a boss who quickly recognized his skills.

A machine (operator) that stands out

Entrepreneur Flemming Larsen-Ledet could immediately see that Emil had a flair for machine handling when he first got into a short-term leased mobile excavator. It quickly became clear that Emil needed his own tool. Flemming Larsen-Ledet therefore invested in the new mobile excavator from Yanmar - especially for Emil. “It was great to get a machine that was purchased for me and my requirements,” says Emil. “With the old one, we didn't have the same options, and now I no longer have to think about when to return the machine.”
The mobile excavator, where Emil now spends 7.5 hours a day, has already proved to be an invaluable part of his work. “It runs well, it's a good machine that is both strong and efficient,” he says. He particularly praises the machine's 4-wheel steering, which allows him to maneuver easily and quickly
no matter what terrain he's working in.

A working day in comfort

While the power and efficiency of the machine is crucial to Emil, it's the design focus on the operator that really makes a difference in his everyday life. “With a full working day in the machine, it's really nice that the operator's comfort has been considered,” he explains, adding: “There's good visibility, easy fingertip control, and with the hydraulic quick shift you don't even have to leave the cabin - which
is a huge bonus.”
It's clear that Emil is more than happy with his new work tool. “It's a damn good machine,” he says with a laugh, and it's hard not to be infected by his enthusiasm.

The future is well on track

Emil is now looking forward to the many tasks ahead, and he has no doubt that they will be solved efficiently with the Yanmar B110W by his side. “I'm looking forward to tackling the next projects,” he says. “The machine makes work a breeze and I would definitely recommend it to other operators. With this machine, you're really well on your way."
