In Grafenwiesen, Germany, GE-Tiefbau relies on the versatile and powerful SV100 midi excavator for pipeline and cable construction work.

For its machinery, civil engineering specialist GE-Tiefbau was looking for a reliable and compact midi excavator that could deliver excellent performance even on demanding jobs. Owner Georg Ebenhöh found the solution at Yanmar dealer Atlas Kern: an SV100 crawler excavator from Yanmar CE EMEA (Yanmar CE). This is a real all-rounder and combines compactness, performance, reliability and comfort.

With its high-performance values, the SV100 perfectly closes the gap between mini and large excavators. At GE-Tiefbau, it is used for various tasks in and around pipeline and cable construction: for the construction of access roads and construction roads as well as their dismantling, for the excavation of construction pits and of flush bore pits as well as their subsequent backfilling, for the transport of pipes and the preparation for the construction of foundations.

"We already have several Yanmar CE excavators in use - in all sizes. The machines are very low-maintenance, reliable and robust - these are decisive factors for us. For even more flexibility, the civil engineering specialist acquired various attachments for its SV100 from Atlas Kern: in addition to the standard buckets, a grapple, a trencher and a pallet fork. The attached tiltrotator enables quick and uncomplicated switching between different tools from the driver's cab. The standard equipment of the SV100 includes two additional hydraulic circuits - with proportional control via joystick as well as adjustments via potentiometer. This gives the operator perfect control and allows him to adjust the oil flow to the requirements of each attachment as well as the task at hand.
