What are you going to do?
In this position, you will be responsible for providing essential aftersales support to distributors, dealers, OEMs, and factories. You will be involved in handling warranties, offering technical assistance, and ensuring seamless communication between all parties.
Your role will also include managing administrative tasks through Yanmar systems and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution and troubleshooting. The role requires a combination of office-based duties and field visits, with approximately 30% of your time spent travelling to customers in Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Handle warranty claims and aftersales cases, ensuring effective resolution and customer satisfaction
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person, assisting distributors and dealers with product-related issues
- Administer and manage cases in Yanmar systems, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking
- Communicate with customers to provide updates, handle complaints, and offer product and service guidance
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Spare Parts, to ensure smooth aftersales processes and to address any service-related concerns
- Provide feedback on potential product improvements and service enhancements based on customer interactions and field experiences.
Who are we looking for?
The colleague we are looking for should have solid technical knowledge of engines and/or power products, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues while effectively communicating them to customers and colleagues.
They should also be able to transfer their knowledge effectively, be committed to providing high-quality customer service, and build positive relationships with clients.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum MBO 4 level of education: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or similar;
- 4+ years’ related working experience;
- Has the ability to work with a wide range of products, and to quickly adapt to new technologies;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively;
- Enjoys working in an international environment and is eager to quickly acquire specific Yanmar business knowledge;
- The following mindset qualities apply to you: Committed, hands-on approach, enthusiasm, proactive and strong focus on relationship management;
- Strong language skills, fluent in both spoken and written English. Proficiency in German, French, or Dutch is a plus.
Work location:
Your regular workplace is Almere, but hybrid working is possible for this role. You visit customers in Europe, Middle East & Africa approximately 30% of the time.
