Joining our Production Engineering team means taking the lead in developing and industrialising manufacturing methods tailored to Yanmar’s products. As our Production Process Engineer, you will be in charge of conceptualizing manufacturing methods and best practices and leading external and internal processes for the production of Yanmar’s Marine and Agri products.

What are you going to do?

As the Production Process Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and their compliance with Yanmar standards.

This entails setting up assembly line activities such as end-of-line testing equipment in alignment with Business Unit (BU) requirements and testing specifications and carrying out established policies. Additionally, you will define crucial control points to guarantee the quality and functionality of (pre) assembled products at every stage of the manufacturing process.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Development and industrialisation of manufacturing and assembly processes: conceptualise the ideal manufacturing process.
  • Monitors progress and performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Control and best manufacturing practices: review process output and propose enhancements.
  • Coordinate activities with external parties.
  • Manufacturing improvements: advise and implement improvements of manufacturing processes, new methods and techniques.
  • Facilitate alignment and communication between internal and external parties.
  • Project team leader activities: ensuring projects are carried out in a timely manner and of high quality.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal Production Process Engineer is highly organised, adept at fostering teamwork, and excels in communication. With a robust technical background, you demonstrate a deep understanding of production processes within technical environments and expertise in improvement processes.

You’ll be able to work autonomously while remaining receptive to input from others, valuing their expertise and integrating it into decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, e.g.);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing technical settings;
  • Leadership experience preferred;
  • Good understanding of production planning and control and the willingness to quickly obtain business-specific knowledge and understand the wider organization and its strategic objectives. The following mindset qualities apply to you: positive, open-minded, trustworthy and accountable.
  • You have strong problem-solving, relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong language skills, fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English.

Applicants must currently reside in the Netherlands and possess eligibility to work in the country, including having a valid work permit or passport.
