Cutting-edge mowing solutions at Wassenberg GmbH Roadshow
From 5-7 March 2024, Wassenberg GmbH in German Grevenbroich hosted an innovative Roadshow and Practice Day in collaboration with mowing equipment company Müthing GmbH & Co, also from Germany, and Yanmar Europe. From the YT235-Q to the powerful YT359-Q, the entire Yanmar tractor line-was up ready to be tested for both current and new customers.
Test drives on golf courses
The three-day event started off on Monday with unloading, preparing, and installing Müthing equipment and the first test drives. Tuesday took us to two golf courses in the Rhein-Ruhr area where we demonstrated Yanmar tractors’ synergy with Müthing’s advanced mowing systems on rough, semi-rough and fairways. A strong companionship, addressing the daily work needs of mowing and gardening, and demonstrating solutions for high-grade lawn and grass.
Practice Day for hands-on experience
Wednesday was all about connection in practice. Wassenberg had organised an action-packed day for all participants. With a diverse range of Yanmar YT2 and YT3 tractors and mowing equipment on display, it was a day full of hands-on experience, knowledge sharing and test drives.
The event was an excellent opportunity for Wassenberg to demonstrate both new and existing solutions for mowing, gardening, and green maintenance to a group of interested users on one occasion and collect their feedback. The success of the event emphasises Wassenberg’s key role as an important Yanmar and Müthing dealer in the Rhein-Ruhr area’s agricultural and maintenance sectors.
Strong companions
The Roadshow specifically highlighted three strong combinations:
1) The Yanmar YT235-Q (25,5 kW/35 hp) with a Müthing Ökotop landscaping mower (1.40 m/1.60 working width)
Equipped with a forward-mounted ‘BEEHAPPY’ insect rescue system in the front hitch of the tractor. An example of insect-friendly mulching with maximum protection for the local ecosystem. The rear hydraulic linkage featured a Müthing MU-FM/S sidearm flail mower with automatic collision protection device (available in 1.20/1,40/1.60 m width). To be used behind or alongside the tractor, featuring a compact size with an adjustable range of 112 cm.
2) The YT347-Q (34.3 kW/47 hp) with Müthing MU-Collect Vario® 1.60 m
A front mulcher with collection functionality, ensuring ideal mulch quality and shredding performance. Switches from collecting to mulching in just a few simple steps and enables scarification with special blades. A versatile mulcher, combining three main functions in one machine: mulching, mulching & collecting, and scarifying.
3) Yanmar YT 359 (43.9 kW / 60 hp) with Müthing MU-E/F-Trail Vario®, designed for 60 – 180 hp tractors.
The E/F-Trail Vario® (available in 3.60/4.60/5.60 m width) is a trailed mulching unit with three mulching bodies. This machine ensures smooth ground coverage through its MU-SOFA® weight transfer system, maintaining a uniform cutting height. For ease of operation, the folding and headland cylinders are designed as separate components.
Great enthusiasm
The Roadshow and Practice Day were marked by sunny weather and enthusiastic participation. So enthusiastic that, despite the renowned fuel efficiency of our tractors, we faced an unexpected demand for additional fuel, demonstrating the visitors’ eagerness to engage. A demand we of course, readily granted without a murmur.
With our mulchers we want to sustainably promote the health of nature and the overall ecology. Therefore, we eagerly participate in events like these, where we have the chance to demonstrate our machines and engage directly with customers. This event was an excellent example of how a successful practical demo day should be conducted.
It was a great way for new and current customers to dive into the world of Yanmar tractors and share knowledge and experiences. Massive thanks to the entire Wassenberg team and all others involved for their dedication to make these days a success. We are already looking forward to the next edition.
