Solar power for Yanmar premises

Yanmar is committed to creating a sustainable future for generations to come. Under the Yanmar Green Challenge, Yanmar will fundamentally transform its business into an environmentally friendly, greenhouse gas-free company by 2050. One step at a time.

1,224 solar panels

Yanmar Europe is part of this change. In line with our eco-conscious efforts, we have recently installed 1,224 solar panels on the roof of our European headquarter premises in the Netherlands. This marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of environmentally friendly practices.

60% electricity consumption

Annually, these solar panels will generate an impressive 527.000 kWh of renewable energy. Enough to supply over 60% of the electricity consumption for our business. 527 megawatts may still seem like an abstract number. To put it into perspective: it is enough to supply power to 130 households of 4 people each for an entire year.

Each panel counts

This reduction in energy consumption benefits our environment and reinforces our commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and a better planet. Every step, no matter how small, is important for achieving a more sustainable future. So, join us in the Yanmar Green Challenge, and let us pave the way towards a brighter, greener future. Every solar panel counts.
