January 15, 2016
Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd.

Yanmar is proud to be the main supplier of air-conditioning systems at the newly opened EXPOCITY located in Osaka, Japan.

Operated by Mitsui Fudosan Retails Management Co., Ltd. EXPOCITY is one of Japan’s largest shopping complexes, with over 300 outlet stores and eight large-scale recreational facilities, spanning over 170,000 square meters. Already establishing itself as a new landmark, EXPOCITY delivers an exciting retail experience by combining shopping, entertainment and education.

To provide visitors with the ultimate climate comfort, Yanmar GHP (gas heat pump) air-conditioning systems were selected not only for their reputation of reliability, but also for their reduced energy consumption and broad power range. With environmental conservation in high priority, Yanmar's air-conditioning systems consume 90% less electricity compared to electric heat pump (EHP) systems. In addition, by using Yanmar’s own gas engines, they lead the industry in ultra-silent operation for maximum user comfort. To ensure continuous operation 10 "High Power Plus"1 emergency units are on year round standby to supply power the event of electrical failures.

EXPOCITY is a much anticipated mega shopping experience attracting visitors from all over Japan and around the globe. Yanmar is proud to play a significant role in this ambitious initiative, with climate comfort and low environmental impact, actively contributing to the development of a new international community.

  1. High Power plus is a registered trade mark of Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., and Toho Gas Co., Ltd.
